Inverter brands
The inverter is the component that decides how a system behaves during a grid outage, how it charges a battery, and what monitoring the owner gets. Installers usually specialise in a small number of platforms.
810 of the 1 361 listed companies name at least one inverter brand. The most widely recorded are Sunsynk (473), Victron Energy (351) and Deye (292).
Panel brands
Module choice drives warranty terms, degradation rate, and area required per kilowatt. Most South African installers carry a shortlist of tier-one brands their supplier stocks.
441 of the 1 361 listed companies name at least one panel brand. The most widely recorded are Canadian Solar (301), JA Solar (272) and JinkoSolar (110).
Recorded, not endorsed
Brand associations come from the imported source directory. They indicate that a company was listed as working with a brand at the time the source was compiled — not that it is an authorised dealer, currently holds stock, or is certified by the manufacturer.
Brand names are normalised to the name people search for. The source stores full legal entity names, so “Ningbo Deye Inverter Technology Co., Ltd.” is grouped under Deye, and “Shenzhen Growatt New Energy Technology Co., Ltd” under Growatt.
A brand only gets its own page once at least six companies record it, and a brand-and-province page needs at least four. Below that the page would repeat its parent without adding anything.
